Twitter, the social media company (NYSE:), is now expanding into crypto by forming a team that will investigate decentralized applications, cryptocurrency and blockchain.

A Wednesday tweet stated that Tess Rinearson, Interchain Foundation member and councilor, will be attending LeadingThe social media company has a team that focuses on cryptocurrencies, blockchains and other decentralized technologies. Rinearson said her team would be working with Twitter’s Bluesky project on a decentralized social media platform as well as “exploring how ideas from crypto communities can help us push the boundaries of what’s possible with identity, community, ownership and more.”
