Green Bay Packers to sell stock shares in NFL team

Green Bay Packers at Tuesday will offer to sell $90 million of “stock” in the NFL teamLambeau Field Improvements Funding, the Sixth Time in Squad’s Long and Promising History. shares to the public.

At 9 AM, the 300,000.00 shares will be offered. ET on Tuesday with a $300 share price, said the Packers Monday in a statement.

The National Football League approved the sale in October. It will continue through February 25th.

Stocks with no underlying value cannot be traded in open markets.

2011 was the last time the Packers owned by a publicly-owned, non-profit Wisconsin corporation sold shares. The previous Packer stock sale was in 2011, 1935, 1950 and 1997.

The Packers stated in a press release that stock in the Packers is not an investment in stock in the ordinary sense.

Packers stock shouldn’t be purchased to earn a profit or receive any tax deduction or dividends.

According to the Packers, approximately 361,300 stockholders currently own 5,009,000 shares.

Team which has a famously loyal fan base, is the only one in the National Football league to have a public ownership structure.

Mark Murphy, Packers CEO, stated, “We are grateful for the fans’ interest in our sixth stock offer.”

Although we don’t have the information to share fully about the offering at this time, we do have some basic information for our fans. Murphy added that they look forward to the formal launch of the offering tomorrow.

The stock can only be purchased by individuals who live within the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

A person who purchased stock in the Packers’ share offerings of 1997-1998, 2011-2012 and 2012 is considered to have reached that limit.
