U.S. DOJ says federal jury convicts Naval flight officer of firearms conspiracy -Breaking

(Reuters) – On Monday, a federal jury in Florida convicted a Naval Flight Officer of conspiring to use firearms and lying during a background check on security clearance, according to the U.S. Justice Department.

According to a DOJ statement, Fan Yang (36-year-old) was found guilty in conspiracy with Ge Songtao (51) of Nanjing China and Yang Yang (36) of Jacksonville. The conspirators were charged with violating U.S. firearms laws. Evidence at trial shows that Yang is a U.S. Navy Lieutenant, who was trained in anti-submarine warfare.
