Republican Sean Parnell suspends U.S. Senate campaign in Pennsylvania -Breaking

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – Former President Donald Trump endorsed Republican Sean Parnell in the next year’s Pennsylvania Senate race. Local media reports that Parnell said he would suspend his campaign Monday.

According to Philadelphia Inquirer, Parnell had lost the battle for custody after he was accused of verbal and physical abuse against his ex-wife.

Parnell, a former soldier in the Army, tried to win Senator Pat Toomey’s seat, a conservative Republican who plans on retiring at the end of next year.

Pennsylvania Senate Race is one of most competitive elections in November 2022 and could determine whether Republicans are successful in their quest to gain majority control.

According to Philadelphia Inquirer, Parnell’s spouse was given primary custody following accusations of uncontrolled anger and past physical abuse.

Parnell denied the claims in the newspaper.

Parnell declared that he was running to succeed Toomey in May. Parnell posted a Twitter video (NYSE:) highlighting his support for gun rights. Parnell, a veteran of Afghanistan’s war in Afghanistan said that he wants to repair “a generational crises” caused by “crazy Liberals.”

Conor Lamb (U.S. Representative) is currently in his third term as a member of the House of Representatives and is trying to win the Democratic nomination for the Senate seat.
