Investing.com — Walmart Inc (NYSE:) announced Monday that customers in Framington, Arkansas, can now place orders for drone deliveries.

DroneUp LLC allows customers to order drone technology services and products. Walmart purchased DroneUp LLC in June.

The service will be available in at least three places in Northwest Arkansas.

DroneUp’s safety and speed in operating drone deliveries shows by opening the first DroneUp hub less than a month after we created it. “We’re hearing positive feedback from our first location in Farmington Arkansas and we look forward to opening more locations,” stated Tom Ward, Senior Vice President of Walmart U.S. last mile.

Walmart, a retail giant, is well placed to lead drone delivery because of its extensive infrastructure and 4,700 stores located within 10 minutes of more than 90% of America’s population.
