To limit spread of highly transmissible coronavirus, governments around the world are imposing travel restrictions and lockdowns. But, travel businesses have experienced solid leisure and business travel demand. Travel companies will see an increase in demand as people become more vaccinated. Technavio’s report states that travel will grow at a 13.9% CAGR between 2021-2026. TCOM and EXPE should both benefit.

EXPE has seen 12.2% growth over the last three month, while TCOM’s returns have been negative. Moreover, EXPE is the clear winner with 26.1% gains versus TCOM’s negative returns in terms of the past year’s performance.
