UBS Swiss arm proposes veteran Ronner as chairman -Breaking

ZURICH, (Reuters) – UBS Switzerland will present the election of Markus Ronner, chairman, and Barbara Lambert, independent member, at UBS Group’s annual meeting, April 2022.

Ronner will succeed Lukas Gähwiler, who has been nominated as the vice chairman of UBS Group AG (SIX:).

Ronner, who is a UBS veteran for 30 years, helped to implement new UBS regulatory and governance structures. UBS stated that Ronner was elected to the UBS group executive board as the group’s chief compliance officer and governance officer in 2018. He will continue this role.

Lambert has been a member of the board of Banque Pictet & Cie in Geneva since 2018. Since 2008, Lambert has been a member the board of Banque Pictet & Cie in Geneva. From 2014 to 2018, she served Pictet as chief risk officer of the group and was also a member on its executive committee.

Hubert Achermann is no longer eligible to stand for reelection. Hubert Achermann has served on the board of directors at UBS Switzerland AG since it was founded in 2015.
