VW settles power struggle, Diess to remain CEO

BERLIN, (Reuters) – The dispute between Volkswagen (DE) Chief Executive Herbert Diess, and the powerful Volkswagen Works Council appears to have ended. Diess will most likely keep his job, according to Reuters sources.

The source stated that it was moving in the right direction, and Diess will still be CEO.

According to a source, Ralf Brandstaetter, chief VW Brand, will be a member the management board, while Diess will concentrate on strategy.
