Woodside confident shareholders will support merger with BHP’s petroleum arm -Breaking

MELBOURNE – Woodside (OTC) – Petroleum’s chief executive stated Wednesday that he is certain its shareholders will approve of the proposed merger with BHP Group, NYSE:) to merge its petroleum division in 2022.

Meg O’Neill from Woodside, CEO of Woodside, told analysts during a strategy briefing that “we have complete confidence that our shareholders support the merger.”

Woodside will vote for the proposed $28 billion merger in the second half of 2022.
