World's Largest Museum Embraces NFT, exhibits CyberTruck

People have moved from the physical world to digital during the COVID-19 epidemic, which has also affected art. With the NFT pandemic, digital art was in high demand. NFT made access to art easier and allowed you to turn physical art into a digital item. The State Hermitage Museum is the world’s largest museum and has been incorporated into the “NFT digital arts bloom”. The museum’s newest project is the Celestial Hermitage,” a digital representation of the museum. It will feature NFT art.

Through the display of five digital replicas of classic masterpieces, in the NFT format, the museum began exploring the NFT art area in September 2021. In November 2021, the museum hosted a digital exhibit titled “The Ethereal Aether”, which featured 38 art NFTS in the virtual.io space. Dmitry Ozerkov is the head of the department of contemporary arts. He stated, “The museum has the interest to examine the artistic value NFT can bring to the contemporary art world.”

The exhibition featured a CyberTruck equipped with broken glass windows. The art is a joke about the CyberTruck by Tesla (NASDAQ) which was revealed in November 2019. One of the designers caused damage to the prototype car, resulting in the cracked car windows. These car windows are supposed to be shockproof. This allegation shows that digital art is still possible to communicate our everyday lives.

Visitors to the digital exhibit were allowed to interact with art, unlike the Hermitage Museum where they are not permitted. Celestial Hermitage states that all exhibitions “are dedicated to disclosing the nature of NFT and blockchain.” The exhibition also aims to preserve, study, and complement our digital cultural heritage, which includes meta-objects created in virtual reality.
