According to Meta Platforms Inc.’s CEO (previously Facebook) (NASDAQ :)), India), India is an important player in creating the metaverse thanks to its huge pool of creators, developers, and other contributors.

Zuckerberg spoke earlier in the week at Fuel for India.

It’s obvious, when we look at the next generation of creators and programmers who will build the metaverse’s foundations, that India will play a major role.

BTC PEERS reports that Meta, the social media platform giant, changed their name in October to Meta, which marks a shift into metaverse. Zuckerberg believes that a future in which people are able to communicate with each other and socialize online is possible, and India can play a significant role in this.

It is exciting to see India play a role in this new future. India’s talent pool — the engineers, developers and creators, and your whole vibrant start-up ecosystem are playing a huge role in shaping the future.

Meta boss said that India already boasts one of the most active spark AR developer networks and was on course to be the biggest app developer community globally by 2022. Moreover, India’s online gaming niche has also seen a lot of growth over the past few years, with Meta increasing its investment in the country’s gaming sector.

Zuckerberg has a metaverse dream and he wants to help millions of creators across the world.

We want to make sure that we can do our part to continue unlocking this (India’s) potential. Because I think the experiences that people build here are going to make people’s lives better all around the world.
