U.S. motor vehicle travel rose by 7.1% in October over 2020 levels -Breaking

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – Americans drove 7.1% less miles in October than 2020 as they return to work and take leisure trips. However, the mileage is slightly lower than pre-pandemic levels.

According to Monday’s Federal Highway Administration report, motorists drove 277 billion miles in October. That is 18.5 million more than October 2020. However, that figure still represents 5.6 billion fewer miles than October 2019. The first ten months of 2021 saw road travel rise 11.2% to 262.5 billion miles.
