When children could receive a booster shot for their age, Rochelle Walensky, Director of the CDC said that “So, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), is currently looking into that.” As soon as the CDC hears from them, I hope to get that information in the next few days.
While it wasn’t immediately apparent, Pfizer Inc (NYSE:), and BioNTech Se (NASDAQ:), its partner — the sole manufacturer of COVID-19 vaccinations that is FDA approved for children — filed formal FDA applications for approval for booster doses for children aged 12-15.
Children between 16 and 17 years old in the United States are eligible to receive a third booster shot.
