Dubai Culture To Hold Its First Exhibition Of NFT Arts

Dubai Culture will host its first NFT Arts exhibition. This event will include approximately 50 works by creatives from across the UAE. The Dubai Culture Authority has joined forces with Morrow Collective to help kick-start the event which will take place on 15 January. Morrow Collective, a NFT platform curated by Morrow Collective. This partnership will present artworks physically at locations such as Al Safa Art and Design Library.

This art exhibit event has the theme 50/50. This event was organized to commemorate the 50th anniversary of United Arab Emirates. It will include the display of work by great creators such as Alia Al Goud, Khalid Al Banna and Gigi Gorlova. The NFTs selected these artists, which included animations, paintings, photography, and 3D work. An open call will determine the artist selection.

NFTs were introduced to the arts in an unprecedented way in early 2021. Beeple, a well-known artist sold his first NFT art at Christie’s for $69.4 million. Saeed Mubarak Bin Kharbash is Chief Executive of Dubai Culture’s Arts and Literature Unit. He stated in a clear statement that the Dubai Culture Authority and Morrow Collective have partnered to create a sustainable platform for innovative and new solutions in the art and culture sector. This will allow them to recognize, support and preserve indigenous artists. Saeed added that everyone would have free access to art through the partnership.

Design Library and Al Safa Art will host the first physical arts exhibition. It will run from 15 January until 15 February.
