Wells Fargo’s chief risk officer to leave

(Reuters) – Wells Fargo (NYSE:) & Co Chief Risk Officer Amanda Norton will retire from the bank at the end of June, Bloomberg News reported citing a memo sent to staff.

According to reports, the Wall Street lender informed employees that Norton would be replaced by a new employee in coming weeks.

The memo stated that Chief Executive Officer Charlie Scharf said, “Strengthening the risk and control infrastructure is our highest priority. Mandy was central to this effort.”

Norton was a JPMorgan Chase competitor who had recently joined Wells Fargo (NYSE:).
