Decentraland starts paying royalties for creators

Decentraland is one of the first large crypto metaverses. It’s a fully-fledged virtual world with a developed economy and a variety of activities. You can also host additional games in the virtual world. Decentraland is a great place to play Zed Run or Battle Racers.

A special smart contract was created by the metaverse that allowed wearable creators to get royalties for any transaction they made using their NFTs. People who made the digital products will be able to benefit as well from the increasing value of their digital art.

The developers created a tool to manage collections that lets creators set beneficiary addresses per item.

  • Royalties are not available for new Polygon collections. Preexisting collections will not be able to bring in profits for the future, they cannot retroactively. Creators have the option to decide who gets royalties, or refuse to receive them.
