Baltimore state’s attorney indicted on federal charges -Breaking

(Reuters) – Marilyn Mosby, the Baltimore State’s Attorney was charged on Thursday with federal perjury charges and false loan application filing. Court documents revealed that this is according to court records.

Mosby is a Democrat and was elected Baltimore’s top magistrate in 2015. She has been indicted by a federal grand jury for taking $40,000 out of her city retirement fund in May 2020. Mosby falsely claimed that she had suffered COVID-19-related difficulties.

Prosecutors claim that Mosby, 41 years old, used part the money to pay a downpayment on a Florida vacation house in Kissimeee.
