REUTERS/Sarah MeyssonnierPARIS (Reuters – France decided to relax its mandate for individuals to work from home, according to Prime Minister Jean Castex. This is in order to avoid a fifth round of the COVID-19 virus.
Castex reported that while the French government had advised people to work remotely for three days each week, Castex indicated that such guidance would no longer be in effect. Instead, Castex suggested that individuals and businesses could choose to work remotely from now onwards.
Although work from home can reduce the spread of the virus, this can have negative effects on the wider economy. Large swathes are not allowed to shop or go into commercial areas.
