Twitter says two security team leaders leaving company -Breaking

(Reuters) – Twitter Inc (NYSE: ) announced Friday that the head of security was no longer with the company. The chief information security officers will be leaving the company in the next few weeks.

After Jack Dorsey, the cofounder of Twitter, resigned as chief executive in November and was replaced by Parag Agrawal (top deputy), who since has reorganized Twitter’s leadership.

Twitter didn’t say whether these departures were voluntary.

Peiter Zatko is a famous hacker who was more commonly known as “Mudge”. In 2020, Peiter Zatko was made head of security following a Twitter security breach. Hackers were able tweet from verified accounts belonging to public figures such as billionaire Bill Gates or Tesla (NASDAQ) CEO Elon Musk.

The New York Times published the first news about Zatko’s departure, and Rinki’s upcoming resignation as CISO on Friday. Sethi and Zatko were not available for comment immediately.
