NYPD officer killed, one in critical condition after Harlem shooting: Police

After two NYPD officers had been shot and killed in Harlem on January 21, 2022, officers from the NYPD secured the area. They were responding to domestic violence calls near Harlem’s 32nd Precinct.

Officials confirmed that one New York City officer has been killed and the other is being treated for serious injuries following Friday’s shooting in Harlem. Un suspect is also deceased.
According to the NYPD, the officer was pronounced dead at Harem Hospital. On Friday, a news conference is expected.
They were dispatched to Harlem for a call about domestic violence involving a mother (and her son). NBC New York reported.
Eric Adams, New York City’s Mayor is a spokesperson confirmed on Twitter that two officers had been shot.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said that Harlem Police Department officers Harlem police and NYPD were her top priorities. Hochul stated that her office will provide all assistance needed.
They are the fourth- and fifth NYPD officers killed so far in this year’s NYPD. Three of the other officers were able to survive.
A Staten Island detective police officer was killed on Thursday as Staten Island police executed a warrant for a narcotics probe. On Jan. 18, an officer in Bronx was hit in the leg by an armed suspect. Officials have also said that an off-duty officer, who was sleeping in his car in between shifts was shot and killed.
