Everything from groceries to fuel, your household items are growing. more and more expensive. However, there is another area where prices have increased significantly over the past few years: Attractions.

Recently, Coupon Website DealA released its listThe top U.S. amusement parks and museums where admission costs have increased most in the past year. The site used the Dec. 23-2021 price comparison to determine the extent of increases in prices. It also compared 2017’s same date for 100 museums and 100 amusement parks.

These price hikes didn’t occur in one area. New York, Texas, California were the top three most expensive museums, with California and Delaware resulting in some of the largest jumps in amusement park prices.

DealA spokeswoman said that “the increase in the general admission price to attractions might be due to reduced tourism because of the Covid-19 epidemic, which has significantly affected museums and theme park substantially.” CNBC Make It.

DealA also noted that the percentage increases were measured by percent, and not dollars. This means some attractions might have seen their prices rise by more money but only a fraction of what they originally cost.

These were the five amusement parks and museums that had the highest ticket prices increases, in percentage, since 2017.
