India stock prices lower after close of trade. Nifty 50 is down 0.05%

Investing.com – India stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The index fell 0.13% at the NSE close.

They were the top performers at the session NTPC Ltd (NS) climbed 3.81%, or 5.15 points, to trade at 140.15 by the close. UPL Ltd. (NS 🙂 ended at 790.25 with an increase of 2.37%. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NS 🙂 traded up 1.88% (or 15.25 points) to reach 827.35.

These were the worst performers of the session. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (NS): Traded at 8550.95 after the close, down 3.05%, or 269.25 point. Tech Mahindra Ltd (NS.) dropped 2.42% (or 34.95 points) to finish at 1410.65. Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd(NS.) was down 2.16 or 4.65 to 210.20.

The BSE Sensex 30’s top performers were NTPC Ltd. (BO) who rose 3.89% at 140.20 and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(BO:), which was up 1.85% at 827.25, and IndusInd Bank Ltd.. (BO) which increased 1.72% at close at 903.55.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(BO:), which fell 2.99% at 8553.20 in the late trade, Tech Mahindra Ltd. [BO:] which dropped 2.43% at 1410.55, and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (“BO:”) which declined 2.14% at 210.15 by close.

On the India National Stock Exchange, rising stocks outnumbered those in decline by 1110, 695, and 27, respectively. 27 ends unchanged.

The implied volatility index of Nifty 50 options was lower by 1.76%, to 20.6950.

The February delivery of Gold Futures was lower by 0.26%, or 4.65 to $1788.45 per troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 0.33 or 0.38 to $86.94/barrel in March, and April Brent oil, which rose 0.34 or 0.30, to $88.47/barrel.

USD/INR declined 0.17%, to 75.091. EUR/INR dropped 0.15% at 83.6530.

At 97.335, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.10%.
