Facebook has just published its first report since Meta became the company’s name. This is in reference to the metaverse. Meta has changed its name to Meta. This means that Meta now has a different reporting structure. According to the company, last earnings reportFacebook Reality Labs will be separated from its hardware division. Facebook’s Family of Apps will become its core business, including Instagram Messenger, WhatsApp and Messenger.

It will also provide historic segment results for the full year 2019, 2021 and 2020, along with quarterly results that begin in 2020. This new structure will allow investors to get a look at the performance of Meta’s newest business. Zuckerberg regards it as the future.

Meta will continue reporting total advertising revenues and revenue by geography for advertising under the FoA group. For the near future, Meta’s main source of revenue will still be from advertising. Analysts expect total revenue to grow by 19% during the fourth quarter, and an identical rate for 2022.

Shares of the company are down approximately 4% for this year.
