India stock prices lower after close of trade. Nifty 50 is down 0.2%

Investing.com – India stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The index lost 0.2% at the NSE close, and the NSE closed down by 0.25 percent.

These were the best performers of the session Hindalco Industries Ltd. (NS), rose 2.45% to 12.55 points and traded at 525.20 by the close. Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (NS) gained 1.28%, or 2.15 points, to close at 169.65. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. was up 1.18%, or 10.40 points, to 893.95 late trade.

They were also the session’s worst performers Hero MotoCorp Ltd (NSI:) dropped 2.15% or 60.75 points to settle at 2721.75 by the close. State Bank Of India, NS: fell 1.81% to trade at 530.30. NTPC Ltd (NS: ) dropped 1.79% to 134.20, or 2.45 point.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. rose 1.21%, to 894.03, Asian Paints Ltd. was up 1.06%, to settle at 3236.70. Tata Steel Ltd. (BO) gained 0.90%, to close at 176.15.

The worst performers were State Bank Of India (BO:) which was down 1.83% to 530.20 in late trade, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (BO:) which lost 1.73% to settle at 841.25 and NTPC Ltd (BO:) which was down 1.72% to 134.25 at the close.

India National Stock Exchange: Falling stocks outnumbered advanced ones by 1054 to 754, and 38 ended unchanged. On Bombay Stock Exchange, 1679 were lost and 1560 gained, while 90 closed unchanged.
