Investing.com – Australia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

These were the best performers of the session Treasury Wine Estates Ltd (ASX:) rose 11.67% or 1.230 point to close at 11.770. Vicinity Centres Re Ltd. (ASX) gained 11.01%, or 0.185 point to close at 1.865. Nearmap Ltd. (ASX) increased 8.57%, or 0.105 to 1.330 late trade.
They were also the session’s worst performers Netwealth Group Ltd (ASX) fell 9.76%, or 1.45 points, to trade at 13.40 after the close. Hub24 Ltd (ASX.:) lost 8.04% (or 2.05 points) to finish at 23.44. EML Payments Ltd. was also down 3.97% (or 0.12 points) to 2.90.
On the Sydney Stock Exchange, rising stocks outnumbered those in decline by 946 to 405 and 385 respectively.

AUD/USD was at 0.7172 by 0.299%, and AUD/JPY at 82.95 by 0.333%.
US Dollar Index Futures were down 0.3% at 95.870.
