Embraer’s Eve gets orders for 90 electric aircraft from Australian firms -Breaking

SAO PAULO / Reuters Embraer SA (NYSE) – Eve, the Brazilian planemaker, has announced that it received orders for electric airplanes from Aviair (Australia), HeliSpirit (Australia), and Microflite (Australia). The order totals up to 90 electric vertical take off and landing aircrafts (eVTOLs).
Embraer announced in a statement the new partnership Eve has with Western Australia’s Aviair & HeliSpirit. Both are owned by HM Consolidated Group. The order could include up to 50 eVTOLs, with flights expected to begin in 2026.
Microflite, a helicopter operator, ordered 40 electric aircraft. They are expected to be operational in 2026. Embraer added that Microflite’s partnership with Eve will begin using helicopters as a proof-of-concept to verify parameters for future eVTOL operations.
Eve already holds an order book of over $5 billion to purchase its electric aircraft. It is scheduled for trading on New York Stock Exchange during the second quarter 2022.
