Judge dismisses antitrust complaint against Altria Group, JUUL Labs-FTC -Breaking

(Reuters) – A Federal Trade Commission antitrust case against a tobacco company was dismissed by an administrative judge. Altria Group The FTC announced Thursday that it had identified JUUL Labs Inc. as the electronic cigarette manufacturer JUUL Labs Inc.

In its April 2020 complaint, the FTC alleged that Altria and JUUL had entered into a number of agreements. These included Altria’s purchase of 35% of JUUL. This was in direct violation of federal antitrust laws.
