(Reuters) – Ukraine is open to “real” talks with Russia regarding its military offensive. This requires no ultimatums. A Volodymyr Zelenskiy adviser told Reuters that Russia’s decision not to send a Belarusian delegation for talks was “propaganda”.
The Kremlin claimed earlier that the Ukrainians had received the delegation from Gomel in neighboring Belarus. Zelenskiy refused to discuss Belarus with the delegation, claiming that it had been complicit in the invasion. However, he opened the possibility of negotiations in other countries.
