California Treasurer Ma calls on state’s pension funds to divest Russian assets -Breaking

BOSTON, (Reuters) – Fiona Ma of California Treasurer said on Monday she is in favor of divesting Russian assets form the state’s huge pension funds.

“We need to send a very clear and unequivocal response that California will not stand for Russia’s aggression,” Ma said in a statement sent by a representative. Ma, who is also a member of the board for California’s Public Employees Retirement System (CPERS), will make decisions.
