Derek Jeter announced that he will be stepping down from his position as chief executive officer of the Miami Marlins, and will sell his share in Major League Baseball.

Jeter is the New York Yankees’ icon and took the top C-suite position in 2017

Jeter released a statement, “We had five years’ vision to transform the Marlins franchise, and I was proud to risk my reputation and name to help make that happen.” We transformed the entire franchise through hard work, trust, and accountability.
