(Reuters) – Cruise operators Royal Caribbean (NYSE:) Group Cruises, Viking Cruises, and other Western companies canceled Wednesday sailings to Russia. They joined their counterparts and other brands in suspending operation in Russia after the Ukrainian invasion.

Royal Caribbean owned Celebrity Cruises. It stated that St. Petersburg would no longer be on its itineraries. However, it said it would continue to visit Scandinavian ports.

Silversea Cruises said that it will reroute summer cruises which were to make stops in Russia or Ukraine. Royal Caribbean International, however, stated it had cancelled all of its St. Petersburg summer itineraries.

After the Omicron coronavirus virus variant forced operators earlier this year to cancel sailings, the changes to itineraries are yet another setback to the U.S. Cruise Industry’s recovery.

MSC Cruises (NYSE:) Holdings Ltd and Norwegian Cruise Lines (NYSE:) Holdings Ltd have also modified their itineraries recently, while Carnival Corp (NYSE:) Corp stated that it will follow.

Several Western brands including Ford Motor (NYSE) Co and Boeing (NYSE) Co joined an unprecedented wave corporate action against Moscow. Russia, however, calls the actions taken in Ukraine a “special operations”.
