U.S. stocks higher at close of trade; Dow Jones Industrial Average up 1.79% -Breaking


© Reuters. Stocks in the USA are higher after close of trade. Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 1.79% – U.S. stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The index gained 1.86% and the index gained 1.79% at the close.

They were the top performers at the session Caterpillar Inc (NYSE:) rose 5.35%, or 9.78 points, to close at 192.61. Intel Corporation (NASDAQ;) added 2.05 percent to trade at 48.87, while Dow Inc (NYSE 🙂 rose 3.62% to 59.20.

These were the worst performers of the session. Visa Inc Class A (NYSE ) dropped 0.49 point or 0.23% to close at 208.48. Walmart Inc (NYSE:) added 0.13% or 0.17 points to end at 136.16 and Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE:) was up 0.31% or 0.48 points to 153.79.

The top performers on the S&P 500 were EPAM Systems Inc (NYSE:) which rose 16.08% to 245.17, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co (NYSE:) The stock was up 10.25% and settled at 16.99 Las Vegas Sands Corp (NYSE:), which saw a gain of 10.17%, closed at 44.40.

These were the worst performers Charter Communications Inc (NASDAQ) was 3.99% lower at 570.99 during late trade Enphase Energy Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell 3.93% to 163.89, and Dentsply Sirona Inc(NASDAQ:), which dropped 3.46% at 52.48 by the end.

Top performers of the NASDAQ Composite are Ecmoho Ltd (NASDAQ:), which rose 56.65% – 0.37 Imperial Petroleum Inc (NASDAQ) was up 39.19% and settled at 2.06 Regulus Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:), which closed at 0.31 after gaining 35.56%

SAB Biotherapeutics Inc.(NASDAQ:), down 39.87% at 2.76 in late-trade, Karyopharm Pharmaceuticals Inc. [NASDAQ:]) down 39.75% at 6.26, Puhui Wealth Investment Management Co Ltd.

The New York Stock Exchange saw rising stocks surpass declining stocks by 2431 to 796. 119 finished unchanged. On the Nasdaq Stock Exchange 2597 rose, 1210 fell, while 230 closed unchanged.

SAB Biotherapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ) shares fell to their lowest levels in 39.87%. This is an increase of 1.83 to 2.76.

The , which measures the implied volatility of S&P 500 options, was down 7.74% to 30.74.

For April delivery, gold futures fell 0.67% to $1,930.80 an troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 7.7% or 7.97 in April to reach $111.38/barrel, and the May Brent Oil contract, which rose 0.45%/ 0.52 to trade for $115.08/barrel.

EUR/USD remained unchanged at 1.11, whereas USD/JPY rose 0.03 to 115.53.

At 97.37, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.03%.
