Russian inflation accelerates to 9.05% as rouble slips -Breaking

MOSCOW (Reuters – Russia’s annual consumer inflation rose to 9.05% in February from 8.84% a fortnight earlier. This is a significant increase on the official target of 4%.
According to Rosstat data, weekly inflation increased by 0.45% from 0.24% the week before.
After the record-breaking fall in the ruble following Russia’s invasion, the West imposed severe economic and financial sanctions on Ukraine.
