The Web 3.0 battle is now dominated by a new competitor, which announced it has raised $2.5 Million in preseed financing to acquire the decentralized messaging API version Twilio.
Notifi Network is a Seattle-based startup that stated the funds will be used for the acceleration of the Notifi Beta development. CoinQuora has received information that the fund will create a blockchain-agnostic messaging infrastructure to support decentralized applications (DeFi).
Race Capital joined the pre-seed rounds. This VC firm made visionary investments in FTX, FTX and Lightning Labs. Hashed, an investment company based in Silicon Valley and South Korea, was co-leading the financing round.
Investors believe Notifi Network was attracted to them by its impressive track record. Race Capital General Partner Chris McCann lauded the previous experience of Notifi’s execs at tech pacemakers Amazon (NASDAQ:) and Oracle (NYSE:):
[Notifi CEO]Paul Kim [CTO]Nimesh and Amin began their careers with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Amazon Web Services. Web3 doesn’t have enough enterprise-grade Web3 notifications. Paul and Nimesh, with their expertise and skill in communication technology, will revolutionize the way Web3 communications are done.
Kim previously served as Director of Products at Circle. Under his leadership, Circle Yield was launched. Kim was the Chief of Notifi and expressed his dream of being the Web 3.0 Twilio.
Kim stated that I’m building Notifi as the Twilio, the blockchain de facto messaging protocol. This will allow developers and projects to establish long-term relationships.
