Disney+ to launch cheaper ad-supported tier later this year

Disney announcedA new tier with ads for Disney+’s streaming service will go live Friday. It will also launch in the U.S. late this year.

Disney now joins several of its peers who already have ad-supported tiers, including AT&T’s HBOMax, Paramount+, and Comcast’s Peacock.

In 2023, the new tier of ad-supported advertising will be available internationally.

Disney has not provided any price or launch date for this new tier.
