U.S. stocks lower at close of trade; Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.56% -Breaking


© Reuters. Stocks in the United States are lower after close of trade. Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 0.56 – U.S. stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The index was down 0.2% at the close in NYSE. It fell 0.56%, hitting a 6-month low.

These were the best performers of the session Caterpillar Inc (NYSE 🙂 rose by 6.76%, or 13.30 points, to trade at 210.00 as of the closing. Meanwhile, Chevron Corp (NYSE: ) gained 5.24%, or 8.49 points, to reach 170.53 Boeing Co (NYSE:) In late trade, the stock was up by 2.74% (4.63 points), to 173.80

They were also the session’s worst performers Coca-Cola Co (NYSE:), fell 3.96%, or 2.42 points, to trade at 58.66 by the close. Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE:) declined 3.96% or 6.05 points to end at 146.79 and UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (NYSE:) was down 2.75% or 13.41 points to 473.46.

The top performers on the S&P 500 were Enphase Energy Inc (NASDAQ) – This rose 10.82% from 175.99 to 175.99 SolarEdge Technologies Inc (NASDAQ: ) Which was up 10.41% and settled at 328.91 Quanta Services Inc (NYSE:), which gained 8.7% to close at 116.23.

Seagate Technology PLC, NASDAQ:), which fell 9.51% to 90.57 late trade in the worst performer category was ConAgra Foods Inc NYSE:) that lost 8.22% and settled at 30.93. Intuitive Surgical Inc (NASDAQ:) The close was 7.98% lower at 269.32

Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation (NASDAQ) was the best performer on the NASDAQ Composite. It rose 203.31% up to 1.00. Kala Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ.) was at 1.15, a gain of 88.49%; Westport Fuel Systems Inc (NASDAQ.) gained 52.63% and closed at 2.03.

They were among the most disappointing. Imperial Petroleum Inc (NASDAQ) was down 43.3% to 4.25 late trade. Inspirato Inc(NASDAQ:), which lost 42.78%, settled at 15.25 Digital Brands Group Inc (NASDAQ:) The close was down by 30.61% and 1.36 respectively

The April delivery of Gold Futures was 3.12% higher or 62.35 at $2,058.25 per troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 5.4% to reach $124.70/barrel in April, and the May Brent crude oil contract, which rose 0.08 or 0.06% to trade at $129.27/barrel.

The EUR/USD exchange rate was stable at 0.00%, 1.09 and USD/JPY went up at 0.00%, 115.67.

At 99.12, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.17%.
