U.S. will launch 2.5 GHz wireless spectrum auction bidding July 29 -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters), – On Monday, the Federal Communications Commission announced that it would open an auction for licenses in 2.5 GHz bands for 5G wireless services. The bidding will take place on July 29, according to FCC.

A new auction in the mid-band spectrum will allow for approximately 8,000 flexible-use county-based licenses – mostly in rural areas.
