Trump boasted about Friday’s decision in a Monday night statement. It likely ends a long-running legal dispute between Daniels, the former president, and Daniels over her claims that she had sex with him once in 2006.

Both of the feuding lawyers were convicted for felonies related to her claims. Trump claims that he never had sex or dated the actress in adult films.

U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit ruled that it did not have jurisdiction to hear Daniels appeal regarding the attorney’s fees issue. She failed to appeal the decision within the 30-day time limit set by a federal judge granting Trump the fees.

A court of appeal ruled also that the same judge properly added $1,000 to Daniels’ sanctions in the same decision that gave Trump lawyers fees.

Trump owes Daniels about the same amount that she was scammed out of by Michael Avenatti, her ex-lawyer.

Cohen also confessed to helping a third hush money payment from The National Enquirer by Cohen to another woman. She claimed that she had an affair with Trump and was paying the money for her. That claim has also been denied by Cohen.

Daniels sued Trump in 2018 to invalidate the Cohen-Nondisclosure Agreement. Trump did not enforce the agreement but a 2020 judge ordered Daniels to pay $44,000 to cover her legal costs.

Daniels sued Trump later in 2018. He claimed he defamed him when, in an Instagram post, he laughed at a drawing by the police of a man Daniels claims had threatened to kill her over her 2011 allegation that she had had sex.

Trump described the sketch as a “conjob” about “nonexistent men.”

The lawsuit was dismissed by a federal court in 2018 after Trump claimed that his statements were constitutionally protected.

He ordered Daniels also to pay Trump’s legal fees and the sanctions.

In February 2021, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected Daniels appeal.

Daniels appealed against Trump’s alleged loan of $1.5 million to the Ninth Circuit.
