Toyota Partners with ChargePoint for EV Charging -Breaking

Investing.com — ChargePoint HoldingsThe electric vehicle charging company e-Vote announced a partnership with Toyota Motor Corporation (NYSE) Tuesday. 

Toyota shares rose 0.6% Tuesday while ChargePoint rose 1.6%

For Toyota’s new battery electric bZ4X SUV drivers, the agreement provides more chargers for their vehicles. This will give them access to over 80% of North American charging spots. 

You can also purchase the ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 Charger (NASDAQ:) through Toyota dealers and ChargePoint online. Toyota claims that this charger allows motorists to charge their vehicles up to nine times quicker than standard outlets.

Pasquale Romeo, ChargePoint’s president and CEO, stated that “reputable automotive brands such as Toyota continue to electrify transport with new models cars, trucks SUVs and fleet vehicles. ChargePoint continues to allow EV charging wherever drivers work, live and play.” 

Expect the launch of Toyota’s 2023 bZ4X electric SUV later this year.
