© Reuters. Australia stocks lower at close of trade; S&P/ASX 200 down 0.63%Investing.com – Australia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
The loss was 0.3% at the Sydney close.
Magellan Financial Group Ltd. (ASX) was the best performer of the session, rising 11.38% (1.76 points), to trade at 17.23 by the close. Meanwhile, Graincorp Ltd (ASX 🙂 was up 3.45% or 0.29 to finish at 8.69 Viva Energy Group Ltd (ASX:), was up 2.6% or 0.07 point to 2.52 late trade.
These were the worst performers of the session. Wisetech Global Ltd (ASX:) fell 6.55%, or 3.45 points, to trade at 49.25 by the close. Pointsbet Holdings Ltd (ASX 🙂 fell 6.41%, or 0.23 points, to finish at 3.36. ARB Corporation Ltd. (ASX 🙂 dropped 5.67%, or 2.35 point to 39.07.
The Sydney Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing stock by 890, 537 and 393 respectively.
Pointsbet Holdings Ltd. (ASX) shares fell to 52-week highs.

The June delivery of Gold Futures was up 0.17 percent or 3.20 at $1,926.30 per troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil rose 1.02 percent or 1.02 to reach $97.25 per barrel in May, and the Brent oil contract for June delivery rose 1.14 or 1.15 to trade around $102.22 per barrel.
AUD/USD remained unchanged at 0.75, while AUD/JPY declined 0.35% towards 92.68.
