Blast Royale Raised $5 Million In Seed Round Co-Led by Animoca Brands & Mechanism CapitalFirst Light Games today announced that their blockchain-based mobile play-and-earn title is now available Blast RoyaleA private sale of tokens worth $5 million has been closed. The round was co-led by Animoca Brands and Mechanism Capital with participation from several other top investors and partners including Dragonfly Capital, DeFiance Capital, Play Ventures Future Fund, Double Peak, Polygon, C² Ventures, Morningstar Ventures, DWeb3, Merit Circle, Ancient 8, AvocadoDAO as well as being backed by notable angel investors such as Santiago R Santos and Nick Chong.

This money will help us continue developing the game, attracting top talent and growing the community. Blast royale uses the Polygon L2 network and will go live in the testnet around the end of Q2. Players equip NFT items onto their characters and take part in Battle Royales, where they earn ‘Craft Spice’ to upgrade and improve their equipment. Equipment now has a competitive metagame layer that gives players more control over what loadout they want to use in battle. As First Light Games pushes into esports, they also plan tournaments and high-stakes Blast royales later in the year.
