- Bitcoin Suisse stated that it will handle all smart contract transactions and system monitoring in the name of their clients.
- Only a small number of clients can access the services as the loan amount exceeds $500,000.
Following the addition of Liquity protocol, Bitcoin Suisse started to offer decentralized financial (DeFi) services for its clients. Bitcoin Suisse, a cryptocurrency financial services firm was established in 2013. The company offers services such as trading, custody and lending to cryptocurrency investors.
Liquity, a DeFi loan protocol was introduced in April 2021. Over $1.1 billion is locked in the total value of this protocol.
Bitcoin Suisses’ new DeFi services will allow customers to post (ETH) collateral in the protocol to mint and borrow the Liquity Dollar (LUSD) stablecoin.
Bitcoin Suisse, announced on April 20 that it will perform all smart contract transactions and system monitoring for its clients. LUSD can also be borrowed and exchanged for any other fiat currency.
The CEO of Bitcoin Suisse, Dr. Dirk Klee, stated in a tweet that he is proud of the fact that his company is taking a “significant step” in providing decentralized solutions to its clients.
Klee said that DeFi is a significant improvement over traditional financial services because it’s more transparent and competitive.
Bitcoin Suisse stated that these services would only be offered to select clients, as the amount borrowed is more than $500,000.
DeFi Llama says that DeFi Llama is rapidly becoming enticing in both the traditional and crypto sectors. The total ecosystem value is approximately $215 billion, close to $254.8 billion which was recorded in December 2021.
