EOS Launches Trust EVM To Revolutionize The EVM DApp Ecosystem- Trust EVM launched by The Network Foundation
- Trust EVM, the virtual machine which will be used as an EOS smart contract, is now available.
- Trust EVM has a block time in the range of 0.5 seconds, and a maximum TPS of 10,000+
Through a launch on Twitter (NYSE : Spaces), the EOS Network Foundation (ENF announced that the Virtual Machine has been integrated into the EOS network. This will allow developers to access the same blockchain tools as the code that is used on the network.
The Trust EVM is the name of the virtual machine. It will be a smart contract that runs on EOS protocols. It will run at a fraction of the time as other EVMs with block times less than 0.5 seconds and an average speed of 10,000+ TPS. What’s more, the runtime is fully compatible with all of the EOS DApp ecosystem.

EOS’s fast block times, low latency and high throughput can make the EVM DApp ecosystem a success. Furthermore, micro-transaction-based GameFi apps built using Solidity can flourish on EOS through its extremely high throughput that enables micro-cent gas fees. DeFi apps can also reap the benefits of extremely low latency. This means that there will be high-frequency trading cases to support regular EVM Smart Contracts.
Yves La Rose, Executive Director of EOS Network Foundation, spoke in detail about how Block. One will be taking over and launch Trust EVM.
The ENF took a multi-pronged strategy approach to maturing EOS as a best-in class Web3 smartcontract platform and blockchain ecosystem. This includes firing Block.one. ENF formed multiple working groups from many different areas, published 4 research papers outlining 75 EOS Enhancement Proposals, created a protocol development alliance with $8m of funding and increased our team’s size.
La Rose further adds, “Our first product, the Trust EVM will usher in the next generation of DeFi and GameFi with limitless possibilities when combining the speed, throughput, and cost of EOS for Solidity-based applications running on the EOS EVM. Trust EVM will revolutionize the DeFi landscape as it exists today.” ENF is a not-for-profit organization that coordinates both financial and non-financial support to facilitate the growth of the EOS Network. ENF is the community-led platform which took over Block. One’s EOS Project.
