BEIJING/HONG KING (Reuters) – China’s regulators and U.S. regulators have been discussing details of an auditor deal Beijing wants to sign this year. The latest effort to maintain Chinese companies on U.S. stock exchanges, the sources said.

The preliminary framework of audit supervision cooperation was established, and China will likely classify less information confidentially, a source said to Reuters. This could allow for more information in companies’ audit papers.

Three sources claimed that China is discussing the details of the onsite inspections conducted by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, (PCAOB), which would allow the U.S. auditor regulator access to these papers.
