Bitcoin steadily gained acceptance by the traditional finance world and investment community in recent years, but Warren Buffett still holds firm to his skeptical view bitcoin.

At Saturday’s Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholder Meeting, Buffett stated that the cryptocurrency was not a productive asset. It doesn’t even produce any. Buffett wouldn’t purchase cryptocurrency despite the shift in public opinion.

It’s not clear if it will go up or down over the next year or in five years or ten years. Buffett explained that one thing is certain: it doesn’t make anything. Buffett said, “It has magic about it. People have added magics to lots and things.”
