(Reuters) – The NBA’s reigning champion Milwaukee Bucks has announced that it will no longer host a spectator party in their series final game against Boston Celtics. This was after 21 were injured by three different shootings at the downtown area of the city.

On Friday, the shootings took place near Milwaukee’s entertainment district. There were thousands of people watching the Bucks lose Game Six in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

According to the Bucks, the cancellation of Game Seven’s watch party in Boston was done so that law enforcement could devote resources to investigating the shootings.

The Bucks released a statement saying that the shootings in Milwaukee were “horrific” and condemned this violence.

“We appreciate the efforts of local law enforcement to manage this potentially dangerous situation.”

All business in their Deer District, which surrounds the arena, will be open according to Bucks.
