Trump must first publish to Truth Social. He’s supporting a new social networking site. After that, Trump can post the same content to another social media platform for 6 hours. According to the filing, Trump can then post to any site to which access he has after that.
Trump would be the most affected by this six-hour policy TwitterUse if Elon Musk allows him back onto the platform.
Trump can still post to a personal account regarding political messaging, fundraising, or get-out the vote efforts on any platform at anytime, according to the filing. This could allow him some leeway in his bid for office in 2024.
Digital World Acquisition Corp has a deal to take Trump Media & Technology Group, which owns Truth Social, public.
Twitter permanently suspended Trump from the platform in January 2021 following the attack by his supporters on the U.S. Capitol. After the Jan. 6 riot, Trump was removed from the platform “due to further incitement for violence.” Trump is an avid Twitterer, with over 80 million followers.
Trump stated that he won’t be returning to Twitter, even if invited. CNBC however previously reported that Trump might have been referring to some other sources. people close to him say they expect Trump to return to the platform anyway.
