Trump will speak at NRA event in Houston days after Texas school massacre


After the shooting deaths of 19 children and 2 adults in a Texas elementary school, former President Donald Trump will speak alongside other notable Republicans at Friday’s National Rifle Association annual meeting.

Trump tweeted Wednesday on social media that he’d keep his “longtime promise to speak in Texas in the NRA Convention”, because the U.S. requires “real solutions” and “real leadership, and not politicians or partisanship.”

“In the meantime, we all continue to pray for the victims, their families, and for our entire nation—we are all in this together!” Trump wrote the post.
