India stocks higher at close of trade; Nifty 50 up 0.90% -Breaking

Investing.com – India stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
The index gained 0.94%, and the NSE gained 0.90% at the closing.
They were the top performers at the session Tata Steel Ltd (NS): traded at 1,052.00 after the close, up 5.29% (52.90 points). Meanwhile, JSW Steel Ltd (NS.:) increased 4.40% or 23,25 points to finish at 551.70 Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd. (NS) saw a 3.93% increase or 138.50 point to 3,662.80 late trade.
They were also the worst performers of the session. ITC Ltd (NS), fell 2.20% (6.00 points) to trade at 266.70 at the closing. UPL Ltd.(NS:), fell 2.17 points or 16.55 to 747.45, while Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.. (NS;) dropped 2.01% or 70.65 point to 3,448.70.
Top performers in the BSE Sensex 30 include Tata Steel Ltd. (BO:), which rose 5.27% at 1,051.85, State Bank Of India, (BO;) which was up 3.26% at 469.00, and HDFC Bank Ltd. (BO:), which saw a gain of 2.96% at 1,367.70.
ITC Ltd.(BO:), which fell 2.13% to 266.685 in late-trade, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.. (BO.) that lost 1.16% and settled at 900.55 at the close, and Reliance Industries Ltd. (BO.) were amongst the worst performers.
Indian National Stock Exchange: Rising stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1039, 801 and forty ended unchanged. On Bombay Stock Exchange 1666 rose, 1526 fell, and 127 ended unchanged.
Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.’s shares fell by 2.01%, or 70.65% to 3,448.70.

For June delivery, Gold Futures fell 0.09% to $1.844.58 a troy-ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil rose by 0.92%, or 1.01, to $111.34 per barrel. The August Brent oil contract, however, rose 0.66 or 0.59% to $111.78 per barrel.
USD/INR increased 0.12% to USD77.54 and EUR/INR climbed 0.44% at EUR83.14.
At 101.81, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.2%.
