Shanghai to ease some COVID testing requirements from June 1 -Breaking

(Reuters) – Shanghai’s COVID-19 requirements will be relaxed starting June 1, for those who wish to use public transportation or enter public areas to promote work resumption, a official from the city said Sunday.
People who enter public places or use public transport will have to present a positive PCR test within the last 72 hours. This is in contrast with 48 hours earlier, stated Yin Xin (a spokesperson for Shanghai’s government) at a press conference.
People who are planning to relocate will not see any changes in their testing.
If you want to travel to Shanghai, then you will need to have a positive PCR test done within 48 hours. Yin stated that they are exempted to take an antigen test if they have a negative PCR from within the past 24 hours.
She explained that the changes to testing criteria were done to promote epidemic prevention and control, economic and social growth, resume work, and return to normal living.
